Castle Enterprises is holding our first event of 2008 at the Marysville Lions Park Community Building on Sunday, April 20. The 37 acre Marysville Lions Club Complex contains the large community building, creek side pavilion, baseball fields and outbuildings. The Marysville Lions Park is North of Harrisburg Pennsylvania and across the Susquehanna River. From Interstate 81 proceed North on Routes 11&15. Turn left at the Marysville National Bank on to Park Drive. The Club Property is to your right behind Specialty Bakers.
This shopping spree for you and your pet birds will have FREE ADMISSION. Show hours are 9:00AM-4:00PM. Vendors from all over the northeast will be present selling a wide variety of accessories, feed, treats, cages, toys, play gyms/stands, etc. and of course parrots and other birds. The bulk of exhibits will be selling supplies and other goods. Many hard to find avian products can be purchased at reasonable prices. The Birdie Bazaar is also a great place to chat with fellow hobbyist, many are specialist in the field. So, come on out and spend the day among other bird lovers selecting those special toys and treats for your beloved feathered friends.
The Marysville Lions Park Community Building has a kitchen and it will be open for the day to serve you refreshments and sandwiches. Also, the nearby Marysville Rockville Diner welcomes you to stop in for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
For History Buffs: Marysville is the proud home of the historic Rockville Bridge, the longest stone masonry arch railroad bridge in the world! Build in 1900-02 it has 48 arches and is 3820 feet long. Constructed of native sandstone by Italian stone masons and Irish laborers. And of course, there is Specialty Bakers (Home of the Ladyfinger). Specialty Bakers is a small, highly efficient bakery company which is know as The Ladyfinger Specialist. Virtually all the commercially available Ladyfingers in this country have been baked by Specialty Bakers since 1901.
