Castle Enterprises is holding our first event of 2008 at the Marysville Lions Park Building on Sunday, April 20. This is a new location for a Castle Enterprises event. The Lions Club Park and building is located on Routes 11 & 15, just a short distance to the north of Harrisburg and across the Susquehanna River. Routes 11 & 15 is a very well traveled highway and the Lions Club Building is a well-known site for community activities and events. Some of you may know that Henry and I live in Marysville so this site is definitely convenient for us to post our road signs and other advertising.
The Marysville Lions Club Building is just a small place. Nothing like you have come to expect from a Castle Enterprises event location. We are downsizing, there just isn’t enough participants to continue with the larger and more pricey venues. The building can only hold 30 exhibit spaces but we do have the option of overflowing outside if vendors really want. The Lions Club Building has a kitchen that will be staffed and serving food and refreshments during show hours.
Other changes, this event will have FREE ADMISSION. We are doing this for a number of reasons and with the hope this will revitalize both the public and exhibitor interest. Also, the exhibit spaces are a bit smaller, 8’D x 10’W and at a cost of $75 each.
For those of you that have been in the hobby for as long as Henry and I, you may remember this location. Nearly 20 years ago we brought the idea of holding a bird mart to our local bird club. Now this doesn’t sound like anything special or unusual but it was. Prior to that bird mart, only California and Florida had held them, it was the first bird mart in the northeast. Now guess where that event was held? If you guessed the Marysville Lions Club, you would be right. We have gone back to the site to where it all began.
A short distance south of the Marysville Lions Park on Routes 11 & 15 is a Best Western Hotel for anyone that needs to spend the night. Call 717-732-0785 to make sleeping room arrangements. Also for your convenience, your trailers and RVs may stay onsite at the Marysville Loins Park parking lot. Enjoy dinner or breakfast at the nearby diners.
In closing, please don’t wait to apply for vendor space(s), only 30 spaces are available. We do not have the flexibility we have had at past event halls to squeeze vendors in at the last minute. Exhibit space is sold on a first come basis.

Or, fax application to 509-753-8630 and phone 717-957-4241 to pay by Visa/MasterCard. We also accept PayPal for those that would like to use this convenient EFT service (just click on the PayPal button below). Only certified check, money order, or Visa/Mastercard are accepted after April 6, 2008. The application when accepted by Castle Enterprises becomes a Contract. A copy of the application will be returned to you as a confirmation of exhibit space(s). The returned copy will also serve as your Contract and Receipt.

Please Note: All exhibitors are required to conform with local, state and federal laws concerning the legality of exhibiting their equipment, live stock or service. This includes holding proper licensing by the State of PA for the collection and payment of appropriate sale tax. The PA Department of Revenue requires that no one may sell taxable merchandise, live stock or services at an event unless that person has obtained a valid license from the Department of Revenue. This includes out of state exhibitors (transient vendor) participating at events in PA. Castle Enterprises is required to decline space to an exhibitor that does not hold or is not in the process of obtaining a sales tax license. You can file for this free license online, you will receive your license number within days of filing via email. To access this convenient PA Department of Revenue service, visit www.pa100.state.pa.us or, if you prefer, we can mail you an application for the PA Sales Tax License. But, please note it must be mailed to the department at least two weeks before the event. If you are an out of state exhibitor without a PA Sales Tax License, you will need the following information when filing for a Transient Vendor Certificate. The Castle Enterprises Promoter Number is 10009024 and the event county is Perry. Any other questions should be directed to the PA Department of Revenue district office at (717) 787-1700.
